2014 Nissan Altima Sedan

Nissan has always made great cars, whether we’re talking about coupes, SUVs, crossovers or sedans; the Japanese have high standards when it comes to car making, and Nissan was for many years one of the top automakers together with companies like General Motors, Toyota, Ford or the Hyundai Motor Group. This year they’ve prepared another line of great new cars, out of which we chose to present the 2014 Nissan Altima Sedan, which to us seemed like the most attractive of the bunch. That isn’t to say that looks are everything, but we expect a luxury car like this to be impressive on the inside as it is on the outside.

First of all, the 2014 Nissan Altima Sedan is the fifth generation of Altima cars, so it was natural the customers and maket were expecting something new, some improvements that took it to another level. The manufacturers met this expectation by adding new equipment and technology to the car, as we’re about to see. Where the exterior and parts are concerned the 2014 Altima has received new chrome exhaust tips, better noise insulation and better quality cloth on the seats for those who don’t opt for leather. Other tricks and gimmicks include the 16-inch aluminum alloy wheels, the remote engine start and a rear spoiler which enhances aerodynamics and gives it a more bad-ass look.

The new 2014 Nissan Altima Sedan is truly a car for the future, and most of all a car for tech lovers, as it was endowed with a system compatible with Android and iPhone. This NissanConnect system allows the driver to perform several tasks, such as navigating, but it will also offer information like weather data, movie times or fuel prices in the area. It looks like the new Altima is much better equipped where safety and technology are concerned.

As for performance, so far the 2014 Nissan Altima Sedan will probably be available with two engine options; the first and cheaper one is a 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine that can produce 182 horsepower and reach 60 mph in eight seconds; a much better and faster version will have a 3.5-liter, V-6 engine that produces 270 horsepower and will reach 60 mph in a little above 7 seconds. Both variants will be fitted with CVT transmission which has been slightly improved from previous models. Basically, this car almost manages to have it all brought to perfection: great and elegant exterior, almost to luxury valences, great engines and performance, good response to commands, better technology equipment and safety, all in one package.
