Chevrolet Impala for 2014

Chevrolet, popularly referred to as Chevy, is one of the most popular American car brands. Nowadays, like many other car brands, it is owned by the gigantic General Motors, but the individual characteristics of the brand have been maintained to some extent. Nevertheless, we are not here to analyze corporate ties, but to review the final product, namely one of the Chevies from the 2014 collection. The car in question is the new Chevrolet Impala 2014, a luxury sedan that will certainly impress most drivers. First of all, it is important to say that this is the tenth edition of the Impala line; the first thing that you notice about the exterior design is that, much like the previous Impala, manufacturers have given their best to build a larger car with personality and charisma.

The curvy but powerful lines of the Chevrolet Impala 2014, the big wheels and the folds that the carcass presents are very attractive and quite retro in some way, especially since manufacturers tried to bring back some of the special design of the late 1958 Impala. Without plagiarizing any particular features, they managed to make a charming street car that shouts both elegance and power at the same time. As for dimensions, the 2014 Impala is not much larger than the 2013 one, but some differences can be noticed. Another information that we want to get out of the way is that the car will probably be sold at prices ranging between $30,000 and $40,000 depending on location and options.

Under the hood, this massive two-ton sedan was fitted with the well-known V6, 3.6 liter engine; its wheelbase is 1.2 inches longer than the previous model, thus reaching 111.7 inches in length. The engine can rouse up 305 horsepower at 6800 rpm. Some other interesting features about the Chevrolet Impala 2014 are the triple door seals, the laminated glass and cavity baffles, which indicate that it might just be the quietest car this year, or perhaps the quietest Chevrolet ever to be made. Manufacturers didn’t make any concessions when it came to safety either, and the car is probably the most well-equipped on the market yet.

Here are some of the safety features that the Chevrolet Impala 2014 has: a four-direction alert system, automatic collision-avoiding brakes, adaptive cruise control, a backup camera and lane-departure warning. The interior is endowed with 10 airbags, and the domed hood is meant to reduce impact, especially where pedestrians are concerned. All in all, the Impala seems like a great car, and it poses great competition to cars like Audi or BMW because it offer the same visual impression as them, much of the same performance and, most of all, it is at least half as cheaper than them.
