Get Ready for the 2014 Kia Optima

For those who aren’t that familiar with cars, Kia is a South Korean car manufacturer; in fact, it is the second largest car manufacturer in the country, and in recent years it has suffered some pretty impressive transformations. Whatever the reasons, Kia has become much cooler and appealing where all its car models are concerned, but the most obvious is the 2014 Kia Optima which, since 2011, has become one of the favorite sedans around the world.

The new 2014 Kia Optima is just as impressive, a four-door sedan fit for driving to work, but dangerous enough for a weekend adventure; with this car you won’t feel just like a guy going to work, you’ll feel like you’re driving towards your purpose, dare we say, towards your destiny. First of all, the good news is that the new Kia Optima hasn’t suffered that much of a transformation compared to previous models, but it is renewed enough to let you know things are improved; for example, the front and back are a bit sleeker this time, and the car also features new LED lights and fog lamps.  The car has smooth and minimalist lines, and the bottom is a bit more raised this time. A limited edition option, the EX-L, will also feature plush Nappa leather on the interior.

Speaking of interiors, the 2014 Kia Optima is rather minimalist, much like Asian culture, but what’s important is immediately in view. You won’t feel like driving a space-ship with the Optima, but you will know you’re driving a good car, where attention to detail still matters. Since it has a lot of sedans to compete with, the Optima has been endowed this year with the much-awaited 2.4-liter, four-cylinder engine that produces some 200 horsepower; in our opinion, the car is pretty well equipped, and it’s more than you can ask from a four-door sedan that’s priced at about $21,500. Not only is the price decent, but the options and qualities of the car are pretty straightforward.

Other car reviews, which were paired with drive tests, also mentioned that the seats are much improved on the 2014 Kia Optima, as compared with models from previous years. It safety measures are also held to high standards, and this is considered one of the safest sedans on the market; it is fitted with a six-speed automatic transmission, but those who like the cars to be more on the sporty side, can opt for the SX model, which comes with a turbocharged 2.0-liter, four cylinder engine that produces 274 horsepower. All in all, it looks like this car will make some fans when it’s released on the market next year, and we can’t wait to hear more about its driving performance.
